At the forefront of research into nuclear fusion with its exciting potential as a long term, environmentally friendly energy source for future generations, excellent opportunities now exist for Technicians to join them at their site in Oxfordshire. Operating Europe’s flagship fusion experiment and other research facilities, these will support the next generation of fusion machines.

As a Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, improvement and modification of additional heating systems supported by the group. You will have hands-on duties from small mechanical workshop jobs to involvement in larger installation projects during shutdowns. You will work on minor development contracts or manufacturing contracts with specialist firms which may involve the writing of documentation, factory acceptance testing and on-site commissioning.

As a qualified Technician, you will provide project and mechanical engineering support for the provision and maintenance of the complex mechanical and electrical systems for the fusion machines.
